                                     මංජරිය සාදයි. පත්‍ර වහළ සෙවිලි කිරීමට යොදාගනු ලැබේ. බෞද්ධ ග්‍රන්ථ ලිවීමට ද

                                     අතීතයේදී යොදා ගෙන ඇත.

Local distribution        : Lowland wet, dry and intermediate zones

Origin                          : Eastern and Southern India and Sri Lanka

Remarks                      : Flowering occurs at the end of the life cycle. Produce the largest inflorescence

                                      in the world. Leaves are used in thatching. These were used for Buddhist text
